Edited on Mon Feb-06-06 01:52 PM by BushOut06
That's not a 2.27 trillion dollar deficit - that's the BUDGET that our fearful chimp is proposing for FY 2007. And that even includes cuts in domestic programs - surprise, surprise.

1. Yes it is. Look at Reagan.
Conservatism has nothing to do with responsible fiscal management. It means placing the tax burden on the backs of the middle class and income redistribution to millionaires.

4. Not true conservatism
While true conservatives would still cut spending on domestic programs, they would cut quite a few other programs also. True conservatism is supposed to be about "less" government, not more. Which is why true conservatives are a dying breed in politics. As much as an adversary as they were, at least they stood on principle. These "new" conservatives are an oxyMORON.

5. The greatest growth...
...in the federal deficit in the last 50 years has by and large come under Republican "leadership."

Such facts however seem no longer operational, as "conventional wisdom" has been artfully directed toward the exact opposite image.

Who says branding doesn't work...
