torture question by Lindsay Graham (I think) if pres. order conflicts |
|
with law (UCMJ in this case) which takes precedence?
Gonzales wouldn't answer.
That gave me chills, not his non-answer, but that somebody asked the question that clearly.
If it was Graham, a republican, it gives me hope that a few with consciences might speak up more.

Sometimes HE is a stand-up guy. I remember in the hearings about the torture pics, he was tougher than many of the Dems!

then continues to blow the Chimp's WH when they demand it. When's the last time Gralham asked for follow-up on Abu Graib? Sure he was all pissed, but where's the call for a supeona? Where are his outraged questions every time he mugs for the Sunday press whores? It seems he whines a little louder than some of the other goosestepping GOP about things that cannot be ignored, but that's all he does. I imagine their file on him is quite thick and he goes along as he feels he must. No courage - none of them - big ole Chuck Hagel, straight-talkin' McCain, Chaffee, Collins...
