but I assumed the President already had this power.
And if you think about it from a law enforcement perspective, so do most COPS.
I'm not saying its right, but I'm not saying it's wrong either.
Was the fourth plane over Penn. on 9/11 shot down?
And if it was, would the President be guilty of murder of those civilians?
I think this subject is a little more complex than it seems.

2. I guess the first thing you'd have to find out is... |
|
whether it was the President and not Cheney who gave the order to shoot down the plane... from what I understand, it was Cheney barking out orders from the White House bunker while Chimpy McCokespoon was still reading "My Pet Goat" in Florida.

5. Lot of reason to believe it was. |

One reason to think so is that if the hijackers lived, they might have a very interesting story to tell about who they were involved with. If you haven't read David Ray Griffin's 'New Pearl Harbor' please do.

7. I do not credit them with that much competence |

They had one hour's notification for the plane that hit the Pentagon. Andrews AFB is about ten miles from the Pentagon, and yet they could not defend it. That plane should have been shot down - every passenger died anyway. Shooting it down only saves lives and destruction in the target area. Is there a link that says they did shoot it down? Is it credible? I stopped keeping up on this in mid 2002.

9. No It's Quite Simple... |
|
the law is the law until Congress changes the law. The administration was asked if the FISA law needed to be updated. They said no. Of course, now that we live in a country ruled by men, rather than law...it's a case by case basis...for example....if you or I do it...we broke the law, and we're going to jail. If someone 'connected' does it...they were within their rights. Really very simple.
