My guess is that if something doesn't happen in the next month (I don't think we have any longer than that), that it is "Game Over".

4. Game Over happened with Alito

I have a very good intuition/instinct or whatever you want to call it. I had an awful realization with the alito approval in my gut. I mean a physical reaction. We are fucked and those who want to leave had best make plans.

3. Gore has said he will not run, and Dean cannot

because he made the pledge not to before he took the chairmanship.

So that leaves Edwards, and he's been out of public life, having left the Senate.

There are others, the primaries will give us a chance to have a good look at the field.
