Humpty Dubya
Sat on a WAR
Humpty Dubya has a great Fall
All the President men
All the President women

CANNOT GLUE US back together again

Strange that after all this time so many still cant see the greatest threat to the US is from within. As one of the world greatest power US can never be threaten by a foreign power.
By with great power comes great responsiblity. And usually in the case of those with great power they usually end up doing the greatest harm.

And so the US smash itself to pieces on a WAR on terra, an enemies that is ill defined, a tool of perception based on the power of nightmare that can easily brand every persons that works against them as terrorist or supporter of terrorist.

And US smash itself again, by the illegal invasion of countries. Marching in with promises but never kept. How long can one stay? How long can unfullied promises be maintained? When will it end?
Logical concluesion will be US leaving those countries but hey only cowards cut and run. Stay the course..... nice slow road to hell.

And US smash its piggy bank to look for monies to finance the war. Ooops flat broke, time to steal from the citizen by taking away all their benefits to pay for this.

And US smash itself, cause you cannot do this without making the citizen angry, time to keep track of protester need to spy on them, detained them without recourse to justice, torture all fine, principle be damn. Those things of the past. It is now a brave new era. It is now a time to completely smash the opposition without whatever means possible wheather within or not within the law. The LONG WAR on FREEDOM, DEMOCRACY and LIBERTY is now a reality. Smash the concept of the past.

1. You have the present-day U.S. pretty well figured out. We are
on our way out as a democracy.

3. If someone told me that this can happen to US
I would think that he is a loonies.
So my perception of what is possible just got blown to pieces.
So now I got a new perception on Americans.
Wonder if they going to save their own country.

5. You just watch what we the people can do!
We smashed British King George's dictatorship in 1776 and we can do it again.

6. Good luck. You are going to need guns, ammunition and
lawyers (or is that a song?) Don't pick on the poster.

9. It's Warren Zevon
and the song/line is "Send lawyers, guns and money" in reference to this guy being in trouble in a foreign country. If we were fighting our government violently, it is highly doubtful lawyers would be much help.

We little guys can do much peacefully. Our numbers are great. What are you going to do? Watch from the couch?

I reserve the right to comment to any poster who gloats at such a situation, thank you very much. It's my right speak up as well.

12. Tell me what channel the revolution will be on and I will watch it
from the couch if I still have the strength. I very much feel that I am in a foreign country these days, it is sure not the place I lived in prior to 2000.

13. Get out and do your share too!
We need all hands on deck! My mom was a Rosie the Riveter and my Dad flew insanely dangerous missions in the Pacific in B-17 and B-24s during WW2. If I didn't stand up for the rights they fought for me, they'd slap me around. I owe it to them...

2. I've seen you before
and you have this strange aura of gloating enjoyment over our troubles. I hope my country didn't hand out too much aid and $ to yours since you seem to be enjoying this awful thing happening to mine. Did you enjoy watching the misery of my people during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita? We common folks gave money for all the tsunami funds to help foreigners in a bad spot. Too bad you can't say the same, huh?

It's not the "US" perpetrating this insanity. It's the insane government that cheated their way into power, lie, steal and murder. It is not the people of the U.S. that condone what is being done. But it is the people of the U.S. that will pry this petty dictator's hands off the reins. If you bother to read polls, you will know that my people do not like this.

Are you here to help or just be an a$$?

8. What you term as enjoyment is terror
What troubles you guys facing is not different from what many countries are facing todays
It is the rise of the corporations.
Politicians get elected by having the right connections and sadlly the connection is not to the voters.
My country done need aid. We give out aid to others.

Finally although what is happening in US is an internal problems.
One cannot denied that the policies of this administration has affect everyone in this world.
Ignoring the problems would not make it go away.
The fact that this world lacks badly in check and balance.
The fact that the politicians around the world to not have the guts to say the honest truth.
The fact that all this could have been prevented with an effective UN.
One might say that a crime is commited against humanity by this administration.
But I also say that the world leaders by their inaction to censure this crime is also partly guilty.
What is there to enjoy, what is there to gloat?
The world is just one tiny round ball.
Nowhere to run nowhere to hide.
At the present course this world heading for the big bang.
Sure our bubble very safe at moment not happening to our part of the world.
Iraq Iran middle east far away.
After that what?
So who are the losers?

Shall I say the peasants.
Why do you think there is so much protesters everywhere Dubya goes?
Why do they all get arrested?
Why do they protest?

You say I gloat I say IRAN
Does History repeat itself
I dont know you tell me.
Nothing much one can do as peasants in other part of the world.
It is for peasants in US to do this job of correction.

Hard cold facts are sometimes hard to accept, what I post is facts.
Not tin foil but what has happened a reality of today.
It is going to end
Or will it end up with a bang.

11. Fair enough then
It had sounded like you were laughing at our troubles. My bad if you are not.

You are right about the corporatism being at the root of the problems. But there are ways that consumers can hurt them. I have faith in some very good elected officials that are fighting for us and I have faith in my people to wake the hell up. Our very rights as Americans are threatened and we are, in majority, opposed to all of the pResident's wars. I was opposed to the war against Afghanistan for that matter, although I wanted our government to find and take out Bin Laden. I also agree that the other world leaders could do more. We could use some help definitely.

I am not having trouble accepting what's going on. I'm not liking it. I didn't vote for this pResident, I don't agree with even ONE THING he has done and I think that they are out of their minds if they think after they have broken our fine military on these stupid wars, that they are going after Iran.

I am an activist. I write letters, I phone, I march, I call senators and Congress and I contribute what I can to righteous causes.

Have some faith in the good people of this land. We are not quitters.

14. I do have faith in the good people of this land
But having faith does not reduce my perception of the uphill battle you guys are facing.
Having follow all the news here and witnessing some live on Cspan.
Sadly I can only have respect for Boxer and JC
I dont have loyalty to either party as I am not American.
So I only look at representative on thier position.

Having say that true representatives are such a minority
The rest are just political animals.

It is clear that Bush is not a strong President.
Prorities all wrong.
The danger here is that he is such a disaster on making the right decision.
US sadly will end having to pay for all his mistake.
Even the corporation will pay aheavy price at the end of the day.
One cannot be so blantant and in your face without paying at sometime in the future the price for the gain.

There is no doubt that US will correct itself. It has to or US will bring this whole world to its knee. Even then there will be an accounting. But how painful do we need this lesson to be before good sense dictate that enough madness is enough. At of this moment I do not see any signs that there will be correction on the course of direction. Every day it seems to get world. Going downhill is easy but to build back, climbing uphill that will be the hard part.

In 1997 my country currency came under attack. We suddenly lost 40% of our currency values. Many people commited sucide because their whole lifework was wipe out. It is now 2006 and we have not recover. But we are better off then most country. We did not follow IMF solution we just peg our ringgits to the US dollars. Remove our currency from being traded.

We the people of this world only want a good life. Let us just work hard to pass this life with grace and happiness. But without a doubt we always need to be wary cause our so called peace and security can so easily be shatter by greed and the powerful.

I see another potential world financial disater waitng to happen. The facts is that US is being prop up by many countries. When that stop the world is in for some bad times. The people will suffer not the high and mighty. I do not see solutions by US to avert this. Rather I see a rush to complete disaster. So who going to tell the President to start doing his work.

15. Thank you that
very thoughtful and honest response. I agree with much of it. The bottom line is that a good percentage of us believe this pResident is doing what he thinks is his work aka agenda. It's not about what's good for the U.S. and the world. You hit it right on the point that it's all about the rich and powerful corporations indulging their greed and preying on the people. There is some interesting reading out there which explains this better...

Nah when the going get tough the tough get going.
History always should when you fuck with the people and they fuck right back the people always win.
Take sometimes but the FACT is the people never lose.

Ok so it is a sad period US going through.
It is not the end of the world.
