I even know one who is disappointed that we haven't taken on Syria and North Korea. Scary, scary people.

4. They will just do what Bush says... |
|
Just the two "Christian" (NOT!) ones I know. They follow anything he says because they think they're all religious and God is on their side and all...

5. The republicans I know just love bush but never watch the news |
|
and wouldn't have the slightest idea about Iran or a war with Iran. But if bush said that we needed to have it, they would trust him on it. On the rare occasions they watch the news, it is fox, so what does that tell you?

I'm surrounded by Republican voters (not fundy nutjobs) who don't follow "politics" much, but they're already upset about Iraq/US troops. They're definitely against any more war.
They're worried about Medicare cuts, health care in general, wages/jobs. They're very negative about Bush shoveling money to spend on war, but nothing here at home.

8. Its not something they are looking forward to |
|
the conservatives I know really bought into the whole liberation line, the whole transforming the middle east line. Now that they are seeing it fail in Iraq, they are saying things like "Those people over there just can't figure out democracy" and other demeaning things like that, but they don't seem to think further action is "worth it". Then again Bush can sell jsut about anything to these people it seems.

9. Republicans do what they're told when it comes to war. |
|
Republicans would oppose a war with Iran if Democrats started it, but will fervently support (without actually doing any fighting) a war with Iran or any other nation that Bush says needs an ass-kicking.
Repukes do not think for themselves. That's what Rush is for.
