I love how it's now a "domestic spying program."
It's not a freakin' PROGRAM. A government program is something that is authorized and budgeted for by Congress. The way people are talking about it now it's like the thing was Social Security. It was a COVERT OPERATION. The last thing we want is for domestic spying to become a PROGRAM.

OK, I'm done now,

The Plaid Adder

2. Programs & tools.
And FISA is a tool .... "a nice tool," as some republicans have said .... that the president has opted not to use right now. Someone on tv noted that he might try to use this type of thinking the next time he was pulled over doing 45 mph in a 30 mph zone .... "Hey, that speed limit is a nice 'tool,' but I opted not to use it in this situation."

4. The Democrats repeating it yesterday gave it credence
I hope they reframe it to what it is, like you said, A COVERT OPERATION.

13. Um, that was on purpose, "domestic spying" is the dems spin.
Really, this is a win, the republicans try to call it "terrorist surveillance" or something like that, "domestic spying" is the democrats way of trying to frame it.

5. It's changed again?
I thought it was a "terrorist surveillance program." Personally, I call it a felony.

7. George Washington's listening devices
Wonder what they would have been. Darn, I wish I could draw, cuz I'd have some cartoons of GW and Honest Abe with their earphones on, tapping away!

8. It needs to be called the Illegal American Covert Spying Operation
Because that's what it is.

9. The best part about this is that the administration is trying VERY
HARD to change the name to terrorist surveillance program, but it is not sticking. Not with the media, not even with Republicans. This says a lot in my opinion. The spin machine is breaking down.

12. At least Bush's "Terrorist Survaillence Program"
name didn't catch on. They're calling it what it is. But "program" does give it a little bit of validity that it doesn't have.
