O'Reilly lied about Air America

I just wanted to clarify something that really pissed me off last night. I don't know why. I know Bill O'reilly lies all the time.

Anyway, last night on his show (probably a rerun from friday) they were bashing Air America radio again and saying how it is failing. He said that Air America is failing so bad in San Antonio that they shut down the whole station.

This is BS. I live in San Antonio. What happened was that clear channel had a progressive station located 60 miles outside of San Antonio. It was fuzzy most of the time, and there was no air america programming except for Jerry Springer (which happened to start before Springer signed onto air america by the way). A few months later Air America opened up a full station in San Antonio. Both stations ran together for several months, and then clear channel dropped the progressive radio station, which happened to include Jerry Springer. Basically, the cheesy, fuzzy clear channel progressive radio could not compete once Air America opened their station here. Since Jerry springer was dropped, they claimed that Air America closed down. Its a giant load of crap. I still listen to Air America everyday on the radio.

Also, he mentioned of bunch of other stuff about San Francisco, Portland, and some other cities. I am sure that it is all BS. If any of you saw the show and can site some inside information from those cities to explain Oreilly's comments. Please share. I hate how they lie to push their agenda.

Yet Air America is still on the air and expanding the number of stations it broadcasts on. I'm sure the right wing media is terrified by the growth of the liberal airwaves and they're doing all they can to discredit it. It's nice to know O'Liely is a listener though, he boosts AAR's ratings! :)
