Something occurred to me re: Gonzales testimony
At one point during the testimony, either Gonzales or one of the simpering Repukes started talking about how during wartime, it always happens that some citizens will begin to sympathize with the enemy.

Compare this to the talking about how Democrats are enemy sympathizers...

Doesn't this seem like an awfully convenient excuse to spy on political enemies? Are "political enemies" and "enemies of the state" now synonymous?

Seems dangerous if we don't jump on it...

Thoughts?

2. Political enemies ARE enemies of the state when politicians think
they ARE the state. And that is what is going on now.

The economy is great... for them and that's all they care about.

Things are safe, the future if secure, for them...

The war is a gift to grandchildren... their's, the ones who will inherit the profits and keep them due to removal of taxes on huge inheritances...

The environment is doing fine... that part of it behind the gates where they live.

Yep, we have to point out that they behave as if THEY ARE THE STATE and we need to call them on it. Us, We The People need to call them on it; and fire their asses.

Demand paper ballots and get involved personally with elections in your area. Find and promote good people to get into office.

WE are the state. We are NOT the enemies of the United States. We are a threat only to those who do not love democracy and freedom. bushco knows WE are the threat. Call them on their actions against AMERICANS!

Paper Ballots. I fought to expose the fraud in Ohio. I fight to save our country and our constitution every day. Elections don't mean shit if they steal them anyway. They OWN THE MACHINES! We own our ballot.

5. Sure.
That is part & parcel of the administration's attempts to paint everything in black and white terms. If you dare to question the president, you are giving support to the enemy. It is a cheap appeal to intolerance in thought, and as Gandhi said, "Intolerance betrays a want of faith in one's cause."

9. IF it was Graham (VIDEO link inside) he was actually making a distinction
between 5th column sympathizers and those who might be accidentally labeled enemy combatants during a time of war because emotions run high-Seems to me he was asking about where the limits are to a president's "inherent powers".

8. Bingo. That fifth column shit is
pretty scary. I also think that the senate should offer Gonzales more head count to do the paperwork that he claims they don't have time for. Maybe then they could obey the law.

10. They were talking about fifth columns as a threat to
the nation. There will come a time, if this is not stopped, that people are herded into camps or killed on sight because of their affiliations.
