The Hillary bashing continues
In what is apparently a coordinated hit-job on HRC, next in line to take a cheap shot is Danielle Crittendon, wife od former Bush speechwriter David Frum. This white house directed campaign is designed to paint the democratic party in a negative light for the upcoming 2006 mid-terms. Lovely picture for her to put up, is it not? :sarcasm:

2. That's hideous
But yeah that was a carefully selected shot.

And we do the same thing every chance we get.

4. Get used to it-this is a three year anti-Hillary campaign
I say three years (really 4) because they started this in earnest last year.

The RNC has proclaimed her the front runner so that
a. if she doesn't get the nomination it means she LOST and who ever does get the nomination is the second choice (this works in their minds)
b.they can prep the battle field. They will further ingrain all their talking points with the public.

I'm not endorsing her but when people actually hear what she has to say they are going to have to try to reconcile what they have been told with what their eyes and ears tell them. Hillary (or anyone really) juxtaposed against George Allen is good for us.

That pic has been on Yahoo's most emailed since last Tuesday. I am sure it is being sent around to the RNC e-mail tree.

5. That is a real nasty picture..............
don't let the rethugs get their hands on it. They will use it for their 2006 and 2008 campaign posters.

7. Dems need to somehow frame Bush/Repubs as belligerant bullies
Edited on Tue Feb-07-06 10:26 AM by wishlist
I hate how Repubs always manage to frame Dems with help of the media while Dems never are able to do that to Repubs. Even after Bush looked mentally unstable and unable to handle stress by his frothing at the mouth and lurching toward Charlie Gibson in the 2004 debates and was clearly unable to provide coherent answers without a script, he escaped any significant criticism.

10. The bash Hillary campaign is designed to make the dems want her to run.
She doesn't have the major support, I sure don't want any more DLC candidates. But the way they are presenting the bashing is to rally the dem support for her. Just say no to Hillary in '08. We need a real democrat.

11. You have got to be kidding...
Two weeks ago Republicans talking her up was a sign of them wanting her to run, now Republican Hillary bashing is the same thing? Get real...the Republicans are not that smart, nor are Democrats that dumb.

12. EH, republicans are that dumb though.
I was flipping through and caught a segment on faux news. They let the pro-hillary get a lot more time in than the anti-hillary and ended on a pro-hillary note. It is just a way to keep the topic alive.
