Mayor: New Orleans will seek aid from other nations
NEW ORLEANS (Reuters) - Shortcomings in aid from the U.S. government are making New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin look to other nations for help in rebuilding his hurricane-damaged city.

Nagin, who has hosted a steady stream of foreign dignitaries since Hurricane Katrina hit in late August, says he may seek international assistance because U.S. aid has not been sufficient to get the city back on its feet.

"I know we had a little disappointment earlier with some signals we're getting from Washington but the international community may be able to fill the gap," Nagin said when a delegation of French government and business officials passed through on Friday to explore

1. We're so bankrupt we cannot pay our fucking bills anymore
8 trillion dollars of national debt
500 billion dollar yearly deficits
A depreciated dollar

This country isn't worth the paper its printed on when it owes more money than the people can collectively pay.

2. And that doesn't even touch the subject of moral bankruptcy.

3. Well everything else has failed...."Shame Them" in front of the world
Well these Neocons have not morals, no true American values, and only think of themselves.

I think this is one tactic that can be taken...Shame them in front of Americans and infront of the world. Every chance there is to Shame them we should do it....

They will try to make some new law that Nagin can't accept help from other countries, the law will stipulate that they can only do reconstruction with Haliburton.

When this is over we should brand them with "T" for Traitor to America on their foreheads!!

4. Should be noted
that assistance from foreign countries WAS offered, even by our ideological enemies Cuba and Venezuela. IIRC, Washington graciously refused. :(
