State of the Union offered more lies

To the Editor of THE EAGLE:-
I am absolutely astonished at the coverage the media gave to Bush's State of the Union address. The media reported on the speech as if it were real, instead of just another in a five-year series of propaganda events. How can anyone take what this man says seriously? He is the most dishonest, unethical, arrogant president in this nation's history.
He has broken the law by illegally spying on American citizens without warrants. He should be impeached and thrown in jail. Yet, here we have the media fawning over his words as if they were true! Everything this man says is either an outright lie, or a severe distortion of fact. His assertions can literally be disproved in a matter of minutes by researching through a simple Google search on the Internet.
Go to any number of the dozens of sites devoted to documenting and disproving the president's lies (bushlies.com, bushwatch.com, bushlies.net, truthout.org). Read the endless litany of lies this man has spouted. Then, tell me why any thinking person should take any of his current or future statements as having any merit in reality?
Tell me why the American people should show anything but disdain and intolerance for being betrayed constantly by their leader? This man's words deserve no respect. The media should not give his propaganda any credibility. I am astounded that after five years of his constant dishonesty, anyone could review or analyze his annual address as anything other than Orwellian spin.
There is no need for in-depth editorials or analysis. I can sum it up in a few short words: Bush lied to the American people at his annual State of the Union address — again.
YEAH! I thought it was to harsh. Published in my local paper today!
