Bush's Remarks at Coretta King's Funeral |
|
Well, well, well... Mr. President did an admirable job speaking at Mrs. King's service.. but in no way did he write that speech. It was biblical, literate, deep, historical and touching.. and brief. I give him credit for being present, and not sending Condi... He must be trying to earn some 'currency' with which to play the public. The service itself is beautiful.

1. His approval rating among African-Americans is about 2 pct. |
|
That's the one and only reason he showed up in my opinion.

2. The Mayor of Atlanta (on now) is a great speaker. |
|
She's getting much applause in her tribute to Mrs. King.

4. Don't know--- I sincerely hope he does. I also hope |
|
to hear from Maya Angelou. She was on the news this morning, commenting on Coretta.
The Mayor just got *major* applause, much more than the pResident did.

6. Like someone else on another thread said |
|
Maybe he (or someone else) will bring up the fact that her husband was a wiretap victim }(
Tactfully, respectfully.....in the spirit of 'overcoming'!

Right out LOUD! thank YOU. I was thinkin' the same, during hearing yesterday.. Let's be sure DC gets reminded o'this. I also wrote in MY recent email to DC, that Mrs.King & Rosa Parks died of broken Hearts, watching Katrina happen.

5. We all should know that programming is brought to you by the |
|
"faith-based" movement that collects well from the Bush administration. I am certain that this has been a point of division among the King children but they will never reveal the schism that exists.

8. His presence defiles the service. |
|
This idiot president is an evil, arrogant bastard whose very presence pollutes the service for Mrs. King.
