Qaeda family annoyed by strange vans outside their home

Family annoyed by strange telephone noise, black vans blocking driveway

Associated Press

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The Qaeda family has had enough of strange clicking noises on their telephones and have complained about black vans with men in dark sunglasses blocking their driveway and staying there at all hours.

Allie, the daughter of father, Al, has had her cell phone with so many clicking noises and other noise that she can't call friends. "All I get is clicking noise, and then heavy breathing with some kind of country music in the background", says Allie, 13. "One time, a man who sort of looked like that Mexican guy who was just on CSPAN yesterday came up to me and tried to grab me in put in a van. I saw chains and some torture stuff in the back seat."

Al Qaeda, 56, has had enough with the extra attention. "I'm not going to change my name just to help that little cowboy in DC", says Al, who owns an importing business. He understands why some people would be shocked by his name, but the vans and phone bugging can get really annoying and distracting. "My neighbor Telli Bahn has been getting some of the same treatment as me", says Al.

Men in the vans offered no comment.

1. This is a parody, right?
I was buying it until the Telli Bahn line.

4. I knew the Telli Bahn was iffy
I'm just thinking Chevy Chase could do a new movie where he's chasing some guy named Alfred Qaeda, who works at an import shop...played by Bill Murray.

5. That could be funny...
Of course, it's been a while since Chevy Chase did anything even mildly amusing.

Bill Murray is a different story.
