Interesting fact with the NYTimes I just heard

I'm listening to some radio show about the guy who wrote the book "The Plot to Seize the White House". The main host of the show is telling how when this story first started making some noise the NYTimes claimed it wasn't true and it was like something from a movie. Makes me wonder how they got their label as a "liberal" paper.
