Funeral Backlash Thread: You know they're gonna be mad.
Tell the media what you think of the guarunteed Republican Spin. It might have worked for them with Wellstone. But something tells me they are playing with a lot more fire here.

1. Why do I care?
Oh no, we are going to get hammered by the whoremedia! Run for the hills! Hide!

Wait, I've got a plan!

Several of our Great Democratic Leaders should internalize the fascist talking points and agree that slamming the bastards at Coretta's funeral was uncalled for and in poor taste. Yes indeed if we apologize and grovel perhaps they will allow us to go 'round back for some leftovers.

Freaking plantation Democrats will fail us every time.

2. Matthews already is using Clinton's respect for Bush AGAINST Carter.

5. Okay... but didn't Matthews work as a speech writer for Carter??
Am I wrong??? I'm sure I read that somewhere.

Interesting that he would turn on the man who gave him his start... but then again, it really shouldn't be a surprise. :eyes:

7. Once you sell your soul to the GE war profiteers, what's left?

11. Move On should make a commercial that shows
bombs lighting up the night skies of Iraq, with the jingle softly playing in the background, "GE....We bring good things to light."

Then we should boycot every product GE makes for consumers, picket their headquarters and demand that they divest themselves of all media corporations.

3. My only regret, from what I've read here...
... is that Karl Rove wasn't sitting right next to Bush, so he could see the results of his politicizing every issue of importance and his shitty little vote disenfranchisement schemes in the last two presidential elections. Remember, this is a president who, for purely political purposes, has refused to meet with the NAACP many times, and that was likely Rove's doing, as well.

Behind Bush, there is not Pickles. There is Rove. And Bush got owned today because of what Rove told him to do and what Rove did himself.

8. The RW smear worked with Wellstone because most of America didn't know him
Not to the level they've known and admired Mother King.

(The decent people that is.)

Also the chimp still enjoyed an approval rating bloated to above 70 points then.

Things are much different now.

Let them try and spill their filth at what occurred today.

10. Let them do it
The blinders are coming off now with the way folks are feeling about Bush**'s illegal wiretapping. The corporate media whores can out themselves and save us the trouble.

12. So we can't talk about peace and love without being attacked as partisans?
Ha! This will separate the wheat from the chaff. Anyone who slams the eulogists at Coretta Scott King's funeral must be feeling very uncomfortable at having the mirror of truth held before their faces.

Squirm, you harlots and warmongers!
