A Springfield pastor was arrested and charged with animal cruelty after a witness told police he saw the pastor throwing puppies from a pickup truck, according to a report.


Robert Tiencken said he saw Vincent Kohn, pastor of The Anointed Church of God, throwing several puppies into the woods and leaving them to die, WJXT-TV reported.


"He was actually throwing them, not setting them down, but throwing them as far as the trees. Just chucking them," Tiencken said. "He said, 'I told my wife. You don't have to call the police. You don't have to call them.'"

Tiencken called the police anyway.

The preacher never did steal my wife, but one did that to a friend of mine. One did steal my car battery once though.

I've seen the preacher who hitched me and my wife up, dog drunk, since we got married. My wife isn't sure if we're married or not, to this day! I call him my loophole preacher. He's the one who stole my battery too. The night I saw my rev. in the bar drunk, he got in a fight and got thrown out along with his drunken daughter.

I believe Florida has animal cruelty laws on the books which would make this a felony not a slap on the wrist. He better lawyer up. However, for this couple to have contacted the media, it's usually a last resort when the local animal protection authorities "choose not to get involved".
