CNN just aired MOVEON.org ad!!! It ROCKS! |
|
If you only have five bucks extra, or loose change, please send it to Moveon.org. They need our support and totally deserve it! They've got a major ad on a major station--this is HUGE!
The ad placed a picture of the boy king, next to a picture of Nixon and asked "what's the difference?"
:applause:

I was stunned! Wasn't expecting that at all. It came right after everyone had 'politely' bashed * at the funeral. So damned perfect! :hi:

|
Edited on Tue Feb-07-06 03:31 PM by BOSSHOG
Nixon served proudly in the Navy and was "really" honorably discharged (actually retired after 20 years service Active and Inactive.) Other than that, can't think of much.

when compared to bush. What a great kickoff to bush's legacy. He sucked so much worse than Nixon.

|
yes, he was conservative, but he started the EPA and was also for universal health care. Anybody that is truly pro-business like Republicans claim to be would be for universal health care.

Except Clinton.
Shocking revelation to me as I thought Nixon was the lowest scum sucker on earth, but in reflection I would take him over all the subsequent registered Republican Presidents.

Now that was a republican. I don't think everything he stood for was great, but he certainly saw our dilemma coming down the tracks.

48. These Neocons are anythhing but conservatives, of course, and |
|
are contemptuous of the notion subscribed to by the old patricians that "noblesse oblige"; that if life has dealt you a generous hand in terms of this world's goods, you should give something back, more particularly to those in need; and in terms of political office, they had a genuine culture of service, not of exploiting their office to ruthlessly and ceaselessly plunder the nation for the sole enrichment of themselves and their mercantile friends.

49. Yes, in retrospect, Nixon looks like a flaming liberal (at least |
|
on domestic matters). Take a look at anti-poverty programs under Nixon and compare to Clinton's record and Clinton comes out not looking much better by comparison.

18. I saw it, as well. It's excellent. Of course, this cabal makes the Nixon |
|
,...administration look like a buncha' choir boys getting into mischief. This cabal is FAR FAR worse: much more conniving and deceptive and secretive. It will take cooperative effort by those spread throughout our system of government to take them down,...BEFORE they ruin this country. Of course, the BushCO/neoconster regime know that and have worked in anticipation of a "worse case scenario" where their abuse of power is challenged. They are that extreme, that sick.
