Paul sort of hijacked the concept of Jesus and blended it was a large dash of paganism and created what is now mainstream christianity.

Paul's version of things dominated and has a result most of what Jesus taught about women was cut out of the final version of what became official church doctrine around 400 AD. That is when the Pauline Christians and the Roman Empire teamed up to become the Holy Roman Empire, women need not apply. Hence, a lot of the sexual repression that we see today among this group is a result.

The Bible as a 'static' book always made me laugh. Even as a young Catholic, I could never understand the idea of the 'infallible' Bible. The early church chopped so much out that had been passed down. I forget which Pope it was that said something along the lines of "like the 4 winds, we will only have the 4 gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John..." and they whacked big sections of what was then used.

I've always hoped they would find the missing pages... I've always wondered if the Dead Sea Scrolls contained those pages...

Most states have a department of corrections site, where if he is in prison, you can see exactly what he is in for, and for how long.

I know Florida does.
