Every mine accident is totally different, and the showing of this rescue from years back is almost MEAN.. Everyone has hopes of getting these people out, but probably is like rubbing salt in the wounds of the worried family members..

1. Maybe this will point out how crappy workers are treated here. Esp miners. |

I know, I know - I must be living in a dream world. Miners are looked upon as "THOSE poor people" - why don't they just gop to college and get a GOOD job.

2. Considering what little we know |

It doesn't look good for these guys. :( They were re-opening the mine after a Holiday shut down.
The mine had been idle over the holiday and the explosion occurred as the first shift of miners entered to resume production, said Lara Ramsburg, spokeswoman for Gov. Joe Manchin.
“As they were heading in, the car in the back either heard or felt some type of explosion. They headed back out. The first car never made it back out,” she said.

3. Maybe it will give the families some hope of rescue |
|
I remember the dramatic rescue in Russia a couple of years ago, where miners were trapped underground, and they bored a hole through the earth, sent down a cage, and pulled them up. A very dramatic rescue. I hope and pray that these miners will be saved too. Yes, miners work one of the most dangerous jobs on the planet. Because of the hard work of unions, and other workers' advocates over the last 150 years or so, the job has been made safer.
