gee, they brought up politics at the funeral of a political activist. how dare they.

It's like Clinton said in his remarks today: there's a woman in there. Not a symbol, a real woman.

Of course, the truth is she is also a symbol, and one that the gop wants very much to claim as universal, and so they make the bullshit argument that her funeral should have been "neutral."

Would anyone expect the a funeral for, say, Pat Robertson to be "neutral"?

Carter and Lowery honored what she stood for, what she fought for, and what she left as a legacy. Anyone who wants to criticize them for that can piss off.
