Y'all have today all wrong - Bush went today to FLAUNT HIS DISRESPECT |
|
Edited on Tue Feb-07-06 08:39 PM by blm
for Mrs. King, MLK, and ALL OF US.
He didn't suffer. He thrives on knowing he has put in place the means to DISMANTLE all the hard work and efforts of leaders like the Kings and presidents like Carter and Clinton.
He is sleeping like a baby tonight because he did what he wanted to do today - he FLAUNTED HIMSELF AT A PROMINENT CIVIL RIGHTS LEADERS FUNERAL - and he had the press siding with him while he laughed to his sociopathic self throughout.
He and Rove are no doubt orgasming together at his show of gall today.
The man is cruel to degrees that none of us have ever experienced in our lifetimes. He could give one whit about what happened today - he's only figuring out ways to use his mediawhores to spin it for him and against us.

just days after appointing a racist judge to a district (circuit?) court in a recess appointment. He takes "thumbing one's nose" to an entirely new level.

something about losing a "sheet" to his speech. Who the heck would say "sheet"? Most people would say "page". This is along the same lines of the "I can't wait to hang it" episode, too. These criminals love in-your-face insults.

but I need some numbers. What percentage of American households have cable TV. I only watch "free" TV myself, so all I hear of this, besides the internet, is the sound-bites they put on ABC news et. al. What Bush got out of it was a half minute sound bite, making him look like a reasonable person who paid tribute to Mrs. King. This is pretty effective free advertising to a very large audience.
OTOH it seems kinda similar to me to how Clinton spoke well of Goldwater when he died (although I do not think he spoke at his funeral). From my perspective then, it seemed like he was giving Goldwater far too much credit. In my guts, I still knew he was nuts.

Like Bush stalling on giving aid to the Gulf Coast and now he's down at the funeral, I heard that the Bush attendance at the funeral was a last minute decision. I have a hunch it is to cut a deal but for what?

16. He's still throwing a temper tantrum at the WH tonight -- |
|
They were supposed to be kissing his hairy arse anyway - as he sat there in his disrespectful slouching posture, giggling at his Daddy's jokes -
A man who rapes his child expects that child to worship him afterwords. No matter how callous, they do notice and they do feel rage - dangerous rage - if the child does not worship.
It is appropriate to feel disgust and rage at his exceptional behavior.
I thought the extent of his juvenile behavior and the clear contrast to *all* of the other Presidents on that stage - Bush I, Clinton, and Carter - were hopeful signs.
I am increasingly convinced that Carter will step directly into the line of fire - literal fire - to stop this madman (...and I pray that no one will have to).

How fitting that another proponent of domestic spying seeks to sanitize himself by attending the service. Maybe a 'Damascus Road' moment is possible, but the idiot says he's been saved already (he just doesn't act like it, that's all).

Had he, nor any of his sleazy cronies not been present, had it been a true gathering of those who respected, loved, and carried on the work of Coretta Scott King, the Rovian media machine would not have been able to spin this as a Wellstone service redux.
They have NO SHAME!
It was calculated, planned, and clearly successful.
May Bush meet Martin Luther and Coretta Scott King one day on the other side. But I suppose that he won't be going to the same place.

35. Molly Ivins described it years ago, remember. |
|
She said that every time they do a photo op, they are doing something rotten to the people in the photo op in one way or another with their true actions.
I have never been able to get out of my head, what Bush said on the day Paul Wellstone died. He was not acting sad at all, he was smirking hatefully and said, "I'm sorry for the loss of the Senate." I really felt that the creep meant that the Democrats would lose the Senate and he was happy about that, not that the country had just had a great loss.

his slouching posture - his expressions - as he was sitting behind the other speakers. Usually he makes some attempt to act presidential.
I didn't see any such attempt yesterday. I could hardly believe that jackass is our president.
That he is making himself out to be the victim is just ridiculous.
