11. Chris Mathews - MSNBC Hardball
Once was a liberal - now is a conflicted stenographer for the cabal.

2. Pete Williams "Some Legal Scholars "In The Middle" Say Bush Has A Case...
Edited on Mon Jan-02-06 05:09 PM by GR
NO they're not "in the middle" they're treasonous sychophants of the right wing noise machine who believe the President is really A King and agree with Bush that the 4th Ammendment is just a "god damned piece of paper."

Williams used to work for Cheney and he is showing his stripes I'm afraid...

3. I wonder who Williams was referring to; now they're on
the miners' story. Yes, best to talk about that because no other channel is.:eyes:

5. Does he perpetuate the public's confusion on the following points:
1) Bush reauthorized 30 or so times (taken to mean only that number of total acts of illegal surveillance) - when really it means a 45 day blanket period of limitless number of survelliances.

2) That it only happens when a US citizen is talking/conversing with a someone oversees who is suspected of terrorism? (reality is there is no caveat that the person on foreign soil is tied to anything what so ever to initiate the survelliance).

3) That it only happens for the single US based individual in the conversation/communication (reality seems to be that based on the initial conversation survelliance can move to those in US who talk with the first person, and then can move on to whoever those folks talk with.)

So did he perpetuate these (intentional) misunderstandings? Or help clear them up in the public's mind?

7. I turned it off when Tweety said

that he was surprised this story has legs. As if illegal behavior by the president is such a non-issue.

8. Why are DUer's enabling the Twit?
We shouldn't waste time watching his show or discussing it. He is a right wing propagandist. Every time someone naively posts about how he's "taking our side", I feel sick to my stomach. Tweety is slick pusher of right wing frames.

9. Actually, he and his guests are being fair, but I know
that word 'today' is on the tip of my tongue.
Having said that, I got a bit tired of hearing
about the rescue efforts at the coal mine (not to
demean those efforts) and thought others who have
the boob tube on might want to hear something else.

13. I 2nd this - I don't watch cable "news" excepting Countdown
All they do is report "local" news and distort the important things, that is if they mention them at all.
