Who will be the next Martin Luther King?
Who will be inspirational enough to lead this nation out of fascism? It won't be a politician, they're too concerned about staying popular and raising money. But we really need a political activist with enough charisma to get in the media to deliver his/her message. Bush and his fascist buddies are too good at framing their messages and manipulating the media. Who in America is eloquent and isn't afraid to fight for the American way?

2. It takes one person to step up!
It could be anyone..even you..even me! It could be Cindy! It takes only the conviction..and the willingness to die...and most of all the courage to stand up and step up...but that is a lot of courage.

5. Where there's a cause, there will be someone to fight for it (hopefully)
From Patrick Henry and Thomas Jefferson to Susan B. Anthony to MLK, our country has a history of good people raising to the top when they are needed. It just seems that right now nobody wants to disturb their comfortable lifestyle to fight Bush.

8. What about George Clooney or Kanye West?
Entertainers are good at communicating with people. Clooney has universal appeal as an actor, but does he have the convictions to jeopardize his career? Kanye West can speak to young people like no gray-haired politician can.

Usually, preachers are good at leading their flock, whether it's a small country church or an entire national movement. They are used to speaking with true feeling so that they touch the emotions of their audience. Was there anyone better at speaking in 2004 than Rev Al Sharpton? I don't know how King got from being a minister to a national figure, but I'm guessing today it would take a lot of money.

Whoever takes the reins is going to have to realize that they will be hammered by the right and, of course, subject to the same fate as Martin Luther King.

9. I've been wondering that all day. Saw so many older leaders today
and heard so many names of those who have already passed on... who is carrying on the torch? There are people ready to be led but who will lead them?
