Did a wingnut ever send you a virus?

I get a lot of virus mail -- pretty much all filtered out. However I was looking through my junk folder for something else and I noticed that some enterprising soul had sent me some viruses manually in response to a comments posting I did on Brad DeLong's blog. Apparently they didn't like what I had to say :) and wanted some revenge on me.

Has anyone else had that happen to them?

1. In a way, yes...

Back years ago a nutball in one of the chatrooms on AOL gave my ex a program that had a trojan in it. The guy was an admitted hacker and I didn't trust him any farther than I could throw my car.

The aol pagan teahouse was VERY political in a way, and soon after that it devolved into a wild-west scenario where arguments were won by whoever had the fastest punting program. Pretty damn strange.

Oh, yeah...this guy was a Repugnican Pagan, which, to me, is like being a rabbit who likes hanging out with coyotes.

I hope you reported him to his ISP. That's crossing the line, and if he has viruses to send out he's a danger to more than just liberal commenters.

Just make sure you have virus protection on at all times.

You haven't lived, though, until some pissed off freeper signs your email address up for every spam and porn site on the web.
