I'm so looking forward to Socky's next press briefing. |
|
The first one after bush asserted he's above the law; I hope it's soon.
The press has been growing balls a bit lately. Let's hope they still have them.

1. I'm sure it will be more of the usual... |
|
...as in "how dare you suggest that the President doesn't have the authority to protect Americans from terrorists?" :eyes:
The question will be how the press reacts. As you mention, they became more combative over the last month or so. It remains to be seen whether they've "lost their edge" over the break, or, worse, whether they've decided that, since Bush's poll numbers are now in the mid-40s rather than the low-40s, he's "in the middle of a comeback," and thus they should back off. :grr:

2. In view of the fact that Scotty can't comment on an on-going |
|
investigation, the briefing will be very boring. "As I said before, I can't comment on an on-going investigation". Come on Newsfolks, press hard. This should ge good!

I was hoping in vain it'd be today, since I have the day off. And I don't know how far in advance they schedule the upcoming PBs, or where they're listed.
Socky's such good entertainment when the press is doing their job.

6. Amen! I kept checking in to see if it was on today. They used to |
|
say in the morning what time it would take place, but lately they just sneak it in at the last second.
