While I disagree strongly with many political cartoons, ..

I am able to recognize them as simply the rendered opinion of their creator. It may offend me some mornings to view what, to me anyway, is a badly distorted rendition of a political or social theme (particularly when the distortion bends right-wards). I don't get overly worked up about the morning political cartoon, nor should anyone. It's a snapshot of opinion about a current issue as viewed through the eyes of the cartoonist, and not, after all, the philosophic statement of the entire country of the artist's birth.

But placing blame on an entire nation for the artistic exercise of one cartoonist seems to have become the latest reason for jihad in Europe, and with that, I must strongly disagree.

I would question any newspaper or media source that chooses to run cartoons or opinion pieces openly belittling a nationality, religion or ethnicity. But despite my differences, I would not excercise violence on my detractors. I would choose simply to ignore or boycott them.
