RW political pundits need a big glass of SFU...! |
|
Seriously.
Do they even realize that a great many of the people at that funeral today actually voted for shrub?! Becuase they used religion and homophobia to garner more black votes than is even believable to me. It is dumb asses own fault those that did vote for him now view him unfavorably, and see him for what he really is--a bigot and an photo opportunistic asshole, among other things.
One word. Katrina.
He brought that shit on himself. Get over it. Get a big, steaming mug of shut the fuck up and drink hearty.
Cheers!

1. How else are people supposed to pay tribute to a woman who believed |
|
so deeply in equality and justice...remain silent about the ever increasing inequality and injustice under fuckwads regime?!! How about we make a deal with them, we won't tell them how to euologize their heroes (you know, great Americans like Pat Robertson, James Dobson and David Duke :sarcasm: ) when they kick, and they can just keep their friggin mouths shut when someone who is the antithesis of all that they stand for passes from this mortal coil!

2. You bring up a great point-- |
|
it made me sick to my stomach to watch how they all went on, and on, and fuckin' on about raygun. But I understood. They were mourning their loss. Though I didn't care for the man or anything he did, it didn't diminish his value to others--they cared about him and felt he was an admirable man...a great man.
I purposely avoided websites and threads (at that time) where people were mourning their loss, because they were entitled to do that--free of my comments or anyone else's that didn't agree. Out of respect for the fact that a soul had left this earth, I kept my personal feelings for his policies, etc. to my self.
I turned off the news early for what seemed like an entire month--due to their incessant eulogizing of him. But again, they were entitled. I just looked the other way, and kept my feelings to myself. Others are allowed to adore those I dislike. I'd like to be entitled to the same.

4. I was really concerned about all the black pastors |
|
(heck ALL the pastors), that were telling their congregants to vote for *. I read about so many--it was really scary. I even had a few frightening conversations with black women that seemed to feel if they voted for Kerry, they were somehow screwing themselves out of rights and giving them to gays. I'm not kidding. I was blown away.
I hope of all those people I just spoke of, it did equal less than 2%.
Oh, and I forgot the losers on TBN, like TD Jakes. :eyes:
