College students at certain "party schools" have rioted in the not-so-distant past, when schools have tried to ban beer from campus.

Riots after sports teams win championships.

The 60s and 70s were not that long ago, BTW. Americans used to be willing to fight to stop the Vietnam war, there was the Stonewall riots (against police harassment of gays) and so on.

All the FICA money??? Poof, gone. Replaced with a massive deficit that will be taking money for generations to come. So where's the riot?

Children dying from lack of health care might do it. I can't see Americans rioting for much of anything else at this point, and I'm not even sure that will do it because by the time it affects enough people, the fear may be too great for the people to do anything at all.

Americans will now accept anything that's foisted upon them, they don't care anymore. They've taken our Democracy for granted for so long that it's being stolen from them right under their noses, and they don't care. The level of apathy that exists in this country is appalling. They'd dutifully march right into the "re-education" camps if told to by their government. After all, bush is "keeping them safe", isn't he?
This country is SO fucked right now, I see no hope for it. It's over. The grand experiment has gone awry and the right-wing war mongers have won. They've taken over everything and we are powerless to stop them.
