5. I have not been this disheartened...

in a long time. Perhaps the holidays put some extra oomph into the depressing outlook that I can't seem to escape. It used to be the voices of the talking heads that grated against my nerves. Now just a whiff of tortured double-speak in print is enough to set me off. It's getting much harder to witness this slow motion catastrophe.
