Donna Brazille strikes again
The Republican's favorite Democratic strategist (and close friend of Karl Rove) steps in, as usual, to offer praise for Bush in today's LA Times article about the Coretta Scott King memorial service:

Bush deserved credit for attending the service, said Donna Brazile, one of the country's most prominent Democratic strategists who managed Vice President Al Gore's 2000 presidential campaign against Bush and worked for Coretta King in the 1980s. In recent weeks, she has met with Bush and spoken on several occasions with his chief political advisor, Karl Rove, about rebuilding New Orleans.

"They know they have to rebuild the foundations, and they have to rebuild a new platform with which to reach African American voters," said Brazile, who watched the service on television.

"President Bush listened, he stayed for three hours and there were times that you could tell visibly he knew that the sermon was intended for his ears only."

Brazile said the criticism of Bush was part of a tradition in the civil rights movement of "speaking truth to power." Bush "took it in the spirit of the moment," she said, "which was a testament to who Coretta Scott King was."

2. So showing up is all that counts? Setting the bar low, me thinks.
But with Bush as Pres the bar is buried already.

with Donna Brazile as a Democratic strategist. I wish that woman would shut her mouth and go away. Why don't the Republicans hire her.

Someone might want to send it to her and ask how the king and queen could be said to be 'taking it in the spirit of the moment' unless sulking was the spirit, lol.

the woman is a menace, why did Gore ever pick her.

Belafonte has explained this problem very well with a small% of the black community. They want to live inside the house of the plantation owner, but inside out, you are still a slave.

Shes been all sugary ever since the Katrina debacle, waiting for sugar-daddy Bush to send some cash her way. She had the gall to even praise his hurricane response. What a tool. Al Gore, you made a BIG MISTAKE letting her run your campaign.

"They know they have to rebuild the foundations, and they have to rebuild a new platform with which to reach African American voters," said Brazile, who watched the service on television.

That's right,Donna....glad to see you are cheering the repukes on. Bet you hope they keep their power too,in the upcoming elections.

Phoney ass traitor. Everytime she opens up her big mouth it's like listening to a repuke. She should STFU and GO AWAY.

It's plain to see she fought like hell to keep Gore from becoming President. I'll bet while Gore was paying her,she was working side by side with KKKarl Rove. Why do Democrats who want to win always pick the people who are on the repukes side to work for them? What a crazy phucked up world we live in. :puke:

26. This might have been a better read...
Bush deserved credit for attending the service, as the ranch in Crawford was about due for a good brush clearin', said Donna Brazile, one of the country's most incompetent Democratic strategists who mismanaged Vice President Al Gore's 2000 presidential campaign against Bush and worked for Coretta King in the 1980s. In recent weeks, she has spit polished the phony cowboy boots of Bush and provided valuable 'services' on several occasions to his chief political advisor, Karl Rove, and consulted about redirecting funds destined for New Orleans into the pockets of yet more of Bush's 'haves.'

"They know they have to rebuild the foundations if they want to retain their iron grip on fascism, and they have to rebuild a new platform with which to further distance themselves from African American voters to appease their fanatical religious nutcase supporters, while simultaneously trying to appear as if they actually care one whit about them" said Brazile, who watched the service from an 'undisclosed location.'

"Surprisingly, President Bush pretended to listen intently and even cocked his head as if to indicate that he understood what the speakers were saying. He stayed for three hours and obviously overstayed his welcome by about the same span of time."

Brazile said the criticism of Bush was part of a tradition in the civil rights movement of "calling out an incompetent asshole." Bush "took it in the fashion that you would expect of a sniveling 9 year old child," she said, "which was an egregious insult to the memory of Coretta Scott King."

What a stupid remark...

AS IF he could have done anything else other than "take it"! LOL!

I am sorry if there are Brazile fans here but I think she's totally ineffectual and really a sorry excuse for a so called strategist.
