If there is, we should get it circulated and put this "appropriateness" debate to bed once and for all.

A funeral is a time to celebrate what the deceased person stood for while alive. If Coretta publicly stood against Bush...case closed.

2. That says it all
Whenever she spoke of her convictions, or of Dr King's, it would have been in natural opposition to his.

The first speaker to touch on the subject of her committment of bringing about change through peaceful means could have been perceived as an indictment of bush.

and advanced the cause of human rights all over the world, especially womens rights.

Democrats are the party of Civil Rights, Voting Rights, Equal Rights for women & gays and Human Rights.

Democrats and Democratic administrations supported Dr. and Mrs. King and their causes. Democrats passed the Civil and Voting rights acts, waged a war on poverty and have championed the cause of equal rights for all Americans regardless of race, gender, religion or sexual preference.

Democrats supported the long boycott of South Africa which finally resulted in freedom for Nelson Mandela and the South African people.

Like the other poster said, Mrs. King stood for everything that Bush and the Republican party is against.

4. In her own words:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/thenation/20060202/cm_thenation/1555886

>>When Bush showed up to lay a wreath at Rev. King's grave in January, 2004, Mrs. King was polite but pointed in her remarks. Before greeting Bush, she told another event at Ebenezer Baptist that she sided with opponents of the war, and she lamented the fact that, "Those people are not in charge of making the policies of their nations."

6. Any video clips?
Although it seems the "furor" over the funeral has pretty much died down....no legs, I guess.
