Some users are experiencing slow response time this morning

This is being caused by a general internet network availability problem in the Cogent network. Anyone using Cogent's backbone to connect to DU is/was experiencing problems this morning.

We want to stress that the slow response time was not caused by our new server, and is out of our hands.

The network status report from Cogent states:

Cogent is currently experiencing an outage in the Chicago area due to a fiber cut. Some customers may experience latency on the Cogent backbone due to the Chicago outage. The fiber provider reports splice crews on site and have spliced one end of cut. They are currently prepping fiber on the other end and should start splicing in about 30 minutes. There is no ETR at this time. Please use HD376421 as a reference for this outage.
