Bill of Rights question?
Can someone give me the interpretation of the ninth amendment in the bill of rights. First time I read it and I'm not sure of its meaning.

1. I believe it means peoples rights are not limited to those in the Bill
of Rights.

2. Additional (guaranteed) fundamental rights...
protected from government infringement, which exist (in addition) alongside the fundamental rights mentioned in the previous eight amendments.

3. Okay, I'll give it a shot . . .
The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

My take: just because the constitution lists (enumerates) certain rights, it doesn't mean that OTHER rights that the people may have - that are NOT listed - don't count.
In other words -- the rights listed don't trump other rights the people may have.

4. That was my take as well
Okay if that is the case, then how can the Administration use Article 2 of the constitution to trample the Fourth Amendment in the Bill of Rights.

5. Okay I get it
I was reading it to mean that one constitutional right could not impede another constitutional right. I see that they are describing rights not listed. Well mabye I get it. Still a little confused. Either way I still don't see how one right granted in the constitution can take away another. Is there any provision for this?
