Maybe we should embrace the Pre-9/11 mind-set with vigor
Edited on Wed Feb-08-06 02:31 PM by EC
and tell the Republicans yes we are Pre-9/11 and then list all the terrorists that were brought to justice by Clinton then point out the comparison to their post 9/11 "successes" including the twin towers since that was Bush's incompetance too....when they throw these things at us, we should just say, yeah it did seem to work better then didn't it?

1. Senator Feingold had a good response
He said, bush says democrats live pre-9/11, well bush lives pre-1776. - My words: Obviously that's where "conservatives" want to live, a time where no constitution exists.

5. I have to remind people of what
Give me Liberty or Give me Death really means.....Feingold is right, either we have liberty and the rights of law given by the Constitution and Bill of Rights or we are ruled by a man....their "Well, we have to be alive to have liberty" is just bullshit, living has more to do with quality than quantity of years....I mean WHO WANTS TO HAVE A LONG LIFE IF IT ISN'T WITH LIBERTY?

2. Yes, let's own it proudly!
What's changed since 9/11? What's changed is that the administration has embraced terror in order to keep us under control. Terror is just the new communism. Something we're supposed to be very, very afraid of, afraid enough to just roll over and then hand over our constitutional rights.

I, for one, am far more afraid of the Bush administration than I am of the terrorists. In fact, THEY ARE the terrorists.

the Millennium bomber and the 1993 bomber etc. all caught and convicted- Bin Laudin? still free....9/11? numerous warnings, hell, an informant for the government was even renting to one of the hi-jackers - on Bush's watch, even though the previous administration warned them pointedly more than 50 times to watch him and know he was DETERMINED TO ATTACH IN THE UNITED STATES....

on edit: a DU welcome to you from a neighboring state...:hi:

3. Seems like the Dems have been afraid since the morning of 9/12
to simply point out that 9/11 happened on Bush's watch. No accusation, no judgment, merely a statement of fact that would have cost the Repubs the next two elections.

6. Well, IMO, they have to get some backbone
and start pointing it out - BUSH + 9/11= Incompetence (unimaginative thinking-rather myopic)
