They're just jealous...
The Republicans are just jealous that the Democrats have the African-Americans, Actors, Comedians, Musicians, Artists, etc.

They are jealous that we have all the cool people!!

Comedian --- Dave Chappelle

Poet --- Maya Angelou

Actor --- George Clooney

Musician --- Bruce Springsteen

-----------------------------------------

As far as I can tell Arnold Schwarzenegger is the only Republican movie star, Drew Carey is the only Republican comedian, there are no Republican artists, and Brittany Spears thinks Bush is smart.

1. Dennis Miller
is actually a repug comedian too...though his status as a comedian is questionable anymore.

He USED to be funny...

5. You're right, but those are about the only two.
We have hundreds more comedians, musicians, actors, and artists than anything they could put up.

Unfortunately, they do have many more pundits than we do.

8. I disagree on the country music generalization.
It seems many of the top 40 country may be Repos, but I bet a lot aren't.

And once you leave top 40 country and get into the really good country music many are certainly liberals or progressives.

13. It just so sad that the Clint Blacks, TobeyKeiths and Charlie Daniels
have hijacked that particular branch of music. The swift-boating of the Dixie Chicks left a bad taste in the mouths of many people.

14. Pop top 40 country pretty much sucks, IMHO, so I could care less
about the players for the most part.

My 9 year old daughter loves it, but I figure she will grow out of it.

Once I saw Charlie Daniels open for the Grateful Dead in San Jose, Ca and it was a very interesting crowd. Most of the Dead Heads came for both bands, but a lot of the Charlie Daniels fans left during the break after his set was done.

I guess there is no accounting for taste.

4. The (formerly cool) actor Dennis Hopper 'proudly' voted for Bush in 04
... but, recall that he spent several years in a drug-induced haze- so his judgment may be permanently impaired.

12. Larry Miller is a repub
And I have to admit, I do like his comedy. However, he really doens't talk politics much, and never talks about it in his act.
