Raw Story: "Senior House Republican wants answers on wiretap program"
"The Republican Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee F. James Sensenbrenner (R-WI) has issued 51 questions to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales on President Bush's warrantless wiretap program.

Combined with a move by the chairman of a House subcommittee on intelligence, and hearings in the Senate, the move is likely to signal that Republicans are not going to swallow the President's justification for the surveillance, and may be a precursor to hearings in the House.

DEVELOPING... MORE SOON...."

1. Toast?
I'll believe it when I see it. I envy you people that get hyped up over some story on RawStory. You're naive enough to think that this is going to amount to something.

The repubs stick together, and I'll be shocked.....shocked I tell you....if any repub in congress actually stands up to Gonzales or King George.

I've still got that waterfront swamp property for sale, in case anyone is interested.

3. I would not be so sure. Could be CYA on part of Sensenbrenner.
Not to mention CVRAIAEY - Cover Vulnerable Republican Ass in an election year.

5. And he will be under oath for HOW many answers?
Watch what happens after Jimmy and Karl have the come-to-Jesus meeting.

"I am satisfied that President Bush had the legal and moral authority to protect the American people..."

If this DOESN'T happen, then I will do a very muted version of The Happy Dance.

6. Doesn't matter if he's under oath. Lying to Congress is still a crime.

7. Republicans NEVER lie - they "mis-speak", or they "forget"
Haven't you figured that out yet? :)
