Helicopter collides with plane over San Diego county airport.

My son called me after I got home from work to ask me if I saw a "fireball" crash into the foothills by El Cajon CA. He and his friends were on school grounds and watched the whole crash. I didnt see it but turned on the news a bit later and discovered that a chopper crashed into a plane in mid-air, killing three on board both crafts. Some of the debris landed by my house in La Mesa, some eight miles away.

2. News 8 just said that the plane was an experimental aircraft.
That airport has many of the experimental crafts. Several have crashed over the years.
This is scary because its really close to home.
My son watched the whole ordeal while it happened.
