1. What do you think they're about?
I happen to think it's the Islamic Leadership explaining to King George that another war might not be such a hot idea right about now. I mean if they're willing to riot over a fucking cartoon, what will they do if we keep attacking Muslim nations? I think it's a not so subtle show of force.

2. The level of comprehension...
espoused while debating issues of humanity is frightening. I think the reason people latch on to nonsensical blather to get all hepped up about, is because the truth can not be faced. How anyone can argue a point of view, concerning a subject and a people, of which they know nothing....astounds me. Opinions are formed by observing a pile of shit...and then repeated as golden nuggets of truth.

3. There is a back-story to this; the most outrageous cartoons WERE FAKED
Right in time for the Iran war drums... we're being played, all of us, Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Other:

'Muhammad cartoon'
proved fake
Imam added 3 especially provocative images to fuel outrage

Faxed photo, top, and original AP image
One of three especially inflammatory but undocumented Muhammad images distributed by a Danish imam as an example of an "anti-Muslim environment" in the European country turns out to be a poorly reproduced copy of an Associated Press photo taken at a French pig-squealing contest.

The weblog NeanderNews pointed out the image used by Imam Ahmad Abu Laban was a faxed copy of AP's Aug. 15 photo of Jacques Barrot competing at the annual French Pig-Squealing Championships in Trie-sur-Baise.

5. Yes...... I saw another post...
and read a few of yours. My hat is off to you, for even trying to explain what is going on with this story. How anyone, at this late date, with the plethora of lies coming at us from every angle, can look at any massive heated reaction and not be inquisitive of the cause.....it is so CIAish. Taken in with the Coretta King bruhaha...it's too over the top for me.

4. I tend to think you are correct
I think it's a level of frustration that has been building for years
