What if weathermen told us about the storms that did not happen
Edited on Thu Feb-09-06 03:07 AM by SoCalDem
or if traffic reporters told us about accidents that "could have" , but did NOT happen? Or if Rita Cosby & Nancy Grace did hours of programming about all the young single people who traveled abroad, and came home safely?

Of course, those stories would not be ratings grabbers, but we will not be subjected to days of speculative musings of how scary the Russell building "scare" could have been.. We will see scads of clips of all kinds of "episodes". We will see the Sarin attacks in Japan..we will see the London bombings (probably) but we will probably see very little of the anthrax footage.. That episode reeks of Ft Dietrich and admin complicity (if not lackadaisical effort at solving it)..

What happened at Russell was basically a false alarm..a "fire drill", but there is money to be made by implanting the FEAR in our brains..and probably as lead ins to the "trouble with IraN", so that a virtual link is made..

This is HOW they do it..

We know WHY they do it as well..

Spying & lying
Plame
No WMDs
Thousands of dead soldiers
BILLIONS of missing dollars
NOLA debacle
impeachable offenses
sagging poll numbers
Delay
Ney
Rove
Scooter
Cunningham
Abramoff
Kenny Boy
Culture of corruption
Medical insurance crisis
Outsourcing crisis
budget cuts to necessary services
tax cuts to the top 1%ers
Social security going broke (too much money stolen over the years)
Bogus drug plan

Every second spent on a "non-happening", is time NOT spent on things that really matter. You can bet your last dollar that the faxes have been SMOKIN'. sending "suggested items to cover"..

1. Did there used to be false reports of chemical "attacks?"
Say, in the mid-90's or so. Or heck, anytime during the 90's. I was in my teens then, so I didn't pay much attention to the news, but I don't remember things like this being reported. So are "false alarms" about chemical agents just a post-9/11 thing?

2. I & North Georgia Democrats & Right to Vote are focusing on the positive

message only. We do not speak of or mention Republicans. We only now concentrate on registration.

We are registering unregistered Democrats to vote. There are over 12,000 unregistered African American voters in our area.

We have voter lists and census lists and we are going door to door and registering voters up to the deadline.

Then we will leaflet and campaign door to door in 6 counties.

We will urge every Democrat in GA to vote absentee (which is a paper ballot, no voter ID required)

We will then urge early voting (one week in advance at the downtown voting place.)

Then we will get out the rest of the vote.

y'all do this too. Fuck Bush and forget the GOP. Get out the Democratic vote.

3. Please verify their registrations with the registrar's office
before the deadline .. Last time around there were tons of people who "thought" they were registered, but there was an "oops", and guess what..they weren't. That's why i liked the wasy Indiana did it. They gave us an actual voter's registration card/ID.. Voting was a snap, since the cards were proof positive that you were registered.

4. we will urge them to confirm registration.
I live in a blue island city in a red/purple area of NE GA.
We have a plan and have already met w/ a representative of our federal congressman who is a personal friend of mine.

I know most all of the elected officials in our area.

We are working hard. Y'all do the same.

Peace,

CB
