Today's Assignment: One-line Zingers
I need some fresh, new one-liners.

But first:

IndyOp has a thread on Gov. Dean and what the Democratic Party stands for. Here's a reminder of what Dean said in 30 seconds:

One: American jobs that will stay in America, using energy independence to generate those jobs.
Two: A strong national defense based on telling the truth to our citizens, our soldiers and our allies.
Three: Honesty and integrity to be restored to government.
Four: A health care system that works for everybody just like they have in 36 other countries.
Five: A strong public education system so we can bring optimism and opportunity back to America."

But along-side Governor Dean's quick points, we also need one-liners for those situations when there's not enough time to go into detail. One-liners can be a very effective way to get your point across. Post your favorite ones here in this thread (maybe in the subject line, so a quick glance offers lots of options), and use one (or 85) today.

I think it's important to envelope the entire Republican Party in these zingers -- we can bash Bush alone, too, but he's not running for office.

Here are a few:

--The Republican party has failed America.

--Republicans are burning holes in America's pockets.

--Republicans are all talk and no action.

--The GOP gave Bush a blank check, both on power and on budget

--Republicans succeed at failing America and the world.

--Chalk up another flaming failure for the GOP

-- GOP: Not to be confused with GOD

Now. You go. Pleasy Wheezy.

1. You can be a good Republican, or a good American. Not both.

3. Ooohh! Fun! Here are a few!
Any zingers should concentrate on the money and class warfare aspect of their politics. Here goes.

The Republican Party:

—Demonstrating once again that profits are more important than people.

—Not getting through the eye of the needle any time soon.

—Worshipping mammon since 1856 (actually they didn't really start this until the 1920s, but oh well)

—Because there are never too many ways to say "Fuck the poor!"

—We invented the "me" generation!

—I've got mine, and I don't give a shit about you.
