Israel 'May Rue Saddam Overthrow'
From BBC World News:

Yuval Diskin, the head of Israel's domestic security agency, Shin Bet,
has said his country may come to regret the overthrow of former Iraq President Saddam Hussein.

When asked about the growing destabilization of Iraq,
Mr. Diskin said Israel might come to rue its decision
to support the U.S. led Invasion.

1. I think a lot of countries will be in this
camp. Saddam was not a nice guy but he was not a religious nut.

5. israel was never anxious for saddam to go
i know for a fact that iran was considered the major threat. saddam was a buffer and israel knew it.

so all tinfoilers who believe israel seduced the US to attack iraq are wrong.

there are more complicated issues involved.

6. I know what can be done:
1. Let Saddam out of prison.
2. Restore him as head of Iraq.
3. Apologize like crazy for the misunderstanding.
4. Give him a lot of money.
5. Have HIM attack Iran for us.

8. The * administration already has people with plenty of experience
arming Saddam and giving him encouragement to launch attacks on his neighbors. Noted funeral expert Don Imus says we ought to give Iraq back to him.

7. Some people never do like change.
They will always long for the good old days when Saddam was just rewarding the families of Palestinian suicide bombers with stipends and threatening to use scuds on Israel at any moment he fancied.

11. Israel was supporting us?!?
I thought we were supporting them in their need to eliminate enemies in the region!!! Who knew! Looks like AIPAC wasted a lot of time and money buying our govt. out then. Perhaps AIPAC should be dismantled.
