Why I believe a Revolution ot even Reforms in America will never happen
http://www.democraticunderground.com/top10/06/231.html

Read Item #1, if that isn't enough to cause the Public to rise up, then I don't know what is.

I just have a hunch that if the President makes a promise and then breaks it ONE DAY later and the Public doesn't rise up in outrage, then that shows us that the American People are too sedated, ignorant, and/or they don't care to rectify the problem.

Many people say we need to hit rock bottom and then people will get mad, well we're driving right through bedrock and the American People would rather listen to Ann Coulter talk about poisoning people and other RW'ers rant on about how those "Insignificant Liberals" are behind every plot and conspiracy.

People need to get mad for there to be Change, and it just ain't happening.

1. I have no problem with the Gestapo
I mean, as long as you have nothing to hide, what's the problem?

Pretty much sums up the attitude of so many.

2. You would think.
The hardest part of an impeachment attempt at this point is picking a reason. The bastard has
provided us with hundreds; each 1,000,000 times worse than a blow job.

One more election goes their way and I would say that it is time for a revolution.... We'll see

14. elections stolen 3 (Three) times
elections stolen 3 (Three) times (among several other war crimes, tresen etc.)

and there has been no revolution. In fact people are talking about continuing writing to their Quislings and campaigning '06 and '08 while the surveillance apparatus and the camps are in stages of completion, keeping their blinder dreams on believieng, hoping this admin is going down civilized means.

Until the rallies arent by the 100'000s (dare i say millions?) and armed.

Be prepared to be arrested by the 1000's or you will be arrested one by one.

Be prepared to be the first to die in the knowledge one of the thousands behind you will take down the pretorian that took you down, hoping your grand-kids will enjoy democracy again.

When the american citizen realizes it's not about the own present anymore but for his/her childs future(and most others on the globe) and willing to give the own future(life) to the revolution then maybe there is hope.

While the time goes the price will be higher and higher and higher.

The US is unattackable for any nation without suicidal goals for most of the planet. So if you don't get your asses out enjoying the 2nd, you are on your own.

As I see it (from the far scope though) you have 2 choices:

to fight or entertain yourselves somehow.

4. The next level will be reached when they tell us that reducing the
budget for renewable energy and laying off researchers in the field IS a way of promoting renewable energy. Paying less for research actually promotes research, don't you see? By having fewer people doing the research we are actually committing more to the research - get it?

5. To paraphrase the infamous Earl Butz (Nixon's USDA sec.)
as long as the people have tight pussy, loose shoes, cold beer and a warm place to shit, they couldn't care less.

9. Nobody hardly complains! Are people too frightened?
For instance the schools in this county haven't got air conditioning only the Principal's office and the library. The teachers complain amongst themselves but won't say anything or just leave. I remember in Britain if the temperature dropped a few degrees teachers would just walk out and they would strike for all sorts of other things - here in the USA, well not a lot happens?

11. It just hasn't hit them yet. Remember we have been systematically
isolated from our communities and each other for the last 40 - 50 years, so the sheeple don't really personalize anything until it directly effects them or those they know. Politiwhores breaking promises is nothing new, increasing the presence of police para-military units (SWAT) is not new, rampant injustice is not new, falling standards, homelessness, fraud, corruption, graft, etc.
The frog is just starting to get a little warm, but it's not too uncomfortable yet.

13. We are very complacent
and most importantly, very well fed. From what I understand about history, most revolutions are started when certain things are scarce or threatened: food, shelter, ability to work.

That is one reason why I never personally equate Bush to Hitler, because Hitler came into power on the tail of a demoralizing, devastating world war. I know some folks equate the WTC with the burning of the German parliament, but we didn't lose most of our male youth and most of our buildings nationwide. I don't think Bush can pull off Hitler in this environment.

Sure, we complain about a lot of things, and we have Katrina, etc., but WalMart is opening 1500 new stores. One thing we have is abundance. Now, if that goes..all bets are off.

15. Being an avid fan of history, the one thing I have concluded..
in order for change to happen, the average citizens life has to be disrupted by something that completely inconveniences them.
Granted, the russians took a while to get going prior to their own revolution, but that was because the Russians lived under a repressive regime for a very long time prior to that.
However, in our own revolution, it wasn't until the various insane taxes and laws, laid down by king george(ironic isn't?), that finally drove us to revolution.

Until the average persons life is some how upset by the various stupidities and fuck ups put down by this crooked admin*, expect people to still sit at home eating the bullshit that fox and msnbc feed them.
