I don't like my W2 information available on a website - Useless paranoia? |
|
Just got this company email:
snip... Access of W2 Information
The website for accessing your W-2 information is now available. Accessing this site will give you the ability to view, print and save your W-2 information
Once again this year we are able to offer Employee Self Service Registration. When you register, you will be prompted for a unique company access code and some basic personal information. If you used this service last year, your user name and password remain the same.

2. Most bank accounts and income from Federal Govt is accessible on web |
|
Records being put online is becoming the norm. Companies and govt agencies love this because they don't need as much staff to handle inquiries, mail out paperwork and answer questions over phone if people can log on to their accounts themselves.
Already anyone drawing Social Security or Govt pensions can access their pay records and make changes in their addresses or direct deposits online and most bank accounts are accessible online to make transactions.
