There's a shopowner who sold an item he promised to "hold" for me to another customer, and now he's claiming that he called my place to offer me first dibs (but didn't e-mail me as requested).
The feds should be able to settle this disagreement by confirming whether he did, in fact, dial my number. (They might as well make themselves useful, no?)
