EVERYONE is fucking crazy. EVERYONE.
Crazy is a sliding scale bell curve. It has 0% at one end, and 100% at the other. Some of us are a lot closer to one end then the other.

But we are ALL crazy.

Some of us are crazy enough to believe that a "supreme being" benificent enough to give us flowers, forests, puppies and kittens wants us to

...HANG young girls who get raped,
...SHOOT abortion providers,
...NOT EAT certain perfectly good food because it's "UNCLEAN,"
...REFUSE to lift a finger or eat because it's a certain day or time of day,
...KILL in the name of "GOD,"

...practice indifference, hoard goods, deny help or medicine, wish for the end of the world, hope for the eternal torture of others, deny the "personhood" of others...

You see my point here?

It doesn't shock me anymore that the world is nuts. I just wish for the sake of our children and all of the other living things that we would WAKE THE FUCK UP, SWALLOW THE THORAZINE, DO WHATEVER WE HAVE TO TO STOP THE FUCKING MADNESS...

...but we won't. So I'm just going to sit out the last few minutes here at work, then drive home and have a beer and a bump by the fire.

the solution is to make sure our kids understand the difference between believing in the ideas of Aesops Fables rather than the fables themselves.

10. Time to step away from the politics
When you starts seeing the realities of this world its time to take a nice vacation in Maui or the Carribean.

I only wish I had the money to do that and get away from this repressive winter weather.

15. Some crazy doesn't matter, some does
If someone wants to eat kosher, or dip their baby in water or face Mecca five times a day I don't really care. Doesn't matter. It's when people want to inflict their crazy on me that I will fight back.

17. One of these things is not like the other.
Well, two of them, actually.

What's wrong with choosing what you want to eat and what you don't? As long as you are not destroying people who do choose to eat it.

And I'll have you know,in terms of refusing to lift a finger, that at the very least, all Jewish prohibitions against work on the Sabbath are waived to save a life.

Don't remember the program.

A strict Muslim DIED during Ramadan as he had been in an accident with severe injuries, and would not take any nourishment. (Anecdotal from his physician)

As I said. Crazy.

18. Interesting. I was having similar thoughts earlier today.
I wondered, "what the hell is normal these days"? Deception, death, exploitation, betrayal, abuse, violence, heartache, anger.

Then, I walked outside. It's quiet out there. The trees are sleeping. The river is flowing, birds chirping, squirrels running.

There is still a LOT of beauty in this world. There is still a LOT of Love, too.
