Gosh..I wish DU had a second Politics Forum. So much is lost with just |
|
General Discussion and General Discussion Politics Forums. They sort of blend together. Sometimes good articles just get lost going off to archives if they are posted in the day...and can't make it until folks get off work and come to look.
Then there's the "TIME ZONE" thing. Articles are posted depending on where DU'ers live and some folks in different time zones never see earlier or later posts.
DU Editorials Forum used to take the "overload" for serious posts that took time to read and digest but it's kind of slow these days...most of us liking to be out in the "give and take" of constant action.
But, we lose some of our more serious posters when stuff scrolls through at the speed of light...
I might be the only one who thinks this...but just to have a third forum as a "TEST" might be nice... I have no idea how it could work...but just see alot of posts that need TIME and I and others just can't get to them and we forget to Bookmark for later or do a short post hoping it will show up in MY POSTS for us to go back later.
With kids, dogs and work and stuff...it's really hard.

never heard of that. but then, i'm on the same time zone as the servers so maybe i'm immune?
databases typically timestamp with the time the insert it made into the database table. in fact, it's MORE work to stamp it with the user's notion of time, and usually that's incorrect anyway.

sorry...one needs more time after a post to think about some heavy posts before one "votes" and by the time you read and think about it...it's either gone to archives or already past the time when one can vote for "Greatist Post."
 It's just my observation, here.
