L.A. Mayor Blindsided by Bush Announcement
AP - Thu Feb 9, 3:02 PM ET
LOS ANGELES - Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said Thursday he was blindsided by President Bush's announcement of new details on a purported 2002 hijacking plot aimed at a downtown skyscraper, and described communication with the White House as "nonexistent." "I'm amazed that the president would make this (announcement) on national TV and not inform us of these details through the appropriate channels," the mayor told The Associated Press. "I don't expect a call from the president — but somebody."

1. I'm not surprised
It's just a scare tactic.....whip the Amurican people into line so they can be in lockstep with the DICKtator and agree to whatever he wants to do.

If this was for real, the mayor would have been informed. LIES,LIES AND MORE LIES. When will it end?

2. So what do you believe?
1- Bush is lying, making up the story.

2- Bush is telling the truth, but never informed the LA Mayor.

3- Bush is telling the truth and informed the LA Mayor.

I tend to go with Nr. 1

A sad day when one cannot believe the president in such matters.

That the Bush team promised to consult with local elected officials more than the Clinton Administration did. Or did that only apply to creating national monuments? Or maybe, this business about saving LA was just a made up fabrication.

7. a bank employee was on CNN...
they interviewed her in front of the building. She said (paraphrased) this is just more of the fear mongering that we've been hearing so much lately, they told us about this when it happened 3 years ago, and I heard nothing new today.

there ya go.

8. Of course they will not reveal more details because it would put national
