The man is not the Sun King
Just what did anyone think people at Corretta Scott King's funeral would think of Bush. The man is only President due to a massive conspiracy to keep blacks in Florida and Tennessee from voting. His minions sent police to harass black voters, put black voters on felon lists, told blacks that the election was on a different day, and a host of other blatently evil activities. Add in his impersonation of Nero while New Orleans drowned and it is a miracle he wasn't clubbed to death like a baby seal when he showed up at the funeral of the woman whose husband was more responsible than any other person for blacks having the right to vote in the US.

Black people have every right to hate this man. Black unemployment has trippled under his Presidency. Black income has declined. Blacks died in the street in New Orleans while Bush played guitar. Blacks were denied the right to vote in order for him to win. Civil rights enforcement has fallen to 3 cases (one of which was for reverse discrimination). Again, just what did people expect?

This man, not some sort of sun king, isn't above criticism. He went to the funeral of a woman who stood for everything Bush stands against. She and her husband worked for a society of merit while Bush has floated by on affirmative action for rich white folks. He was a legacy at every school he went to. Every business he ran failed until he was bailed out by friends of his father.

Possibly worse for Bush is being judged by the content of his character. What character. No wonder the people at that funeral criticised him. He is lucky they treated him better than his minions have treated them.

1. Not to mention how of he's snubbed the NAACP
but even so, a number of black folks voted for him in the last election for the religious reasons, didn't they? Couldn't quite figure that one out.

4. He only recovered from his historic low
to the typical black vote for a Republican. But it was based almost entirely upon hatred of gays sadly.

2. Bush is a delicate flower
He must be protected from those nasty people who would hurt his feelings.

7. But I thought he was "Strong and Resolute"!?!?
Now we find out he is a little crybaby clinging to Karl Rove's apron strings.

"Mommy Mommy, send another BlastFax to Rush and Mr. Hannity!!!!!!!"

8. He's strong and resolute AND a delicate flower
He's a manly man.

Or he's a delicate flower who we should not "bash" because his feelings would be hurt and then he would be too distraught to do his job.

Take your pick. Depends on the day and the circumstances.

3. He's lucky the crowd didn't tar and feather him
Having to listen to criticism is something he should be used to, but... can't pop that bubble he's living in!

5. He has no sense of honor. He has no integrity.
He's judged by his behavior and his actions. Actions have consequences.

Peace.

6. promise?
i have been so hopeful for so long and yet the tipping point didn't come.....

I keep calling and annoying my elected reps and the leaders of both houses (democracy is NOT a spectator sport after all) but I do get despondent.... then I get pissed off and call again. Sometimes I get hopeful (like in November with thoughts of Fitzmas!) but disappointment slaps me upside the head again....

So I ask you fooj - DO actions have consequences - I mean I know they do for US, but do they for bush and his top level advisors?
