Apparently he won in 2002, I'm assuming late 2002 and on Wikki before it said he was a republican but that has changed. It says now that he's been a "lifelong democrat" but has been a major contributer to both sides in the past.

9. But he is the mayor now
And he wasn't briefed prior to the announcement. That's what he's complaining about.

10. And like I said
The info I read before has changed. But look at what they call terrorist attacks now and what they don't. Faulty detectors, terrorist action, Oklahoma Bombing by a bunch of young caucasian Nazis, non-terrorist action. I've never seen or heard of the Oklahoma bombing, the Atlanta Olympics bombing or the anthrax letters called "terrorist actions".

Has anybody else?

16. Dems should start including the anthrax case in their rhetoric
Subtly at first, just mentioning it along with "official" terrorism, which is pretty much just Al Qaeda and ALF nowadays, according to the Repubs/media.

4. And the Capital publicity stunt scare
"We've still got a long way to go before we can all feel safe again". I think it was Frist saying that on the news that night.
Faulty sensors are now considered terrorist actions. OMG!

8. "And it's FRIDAY." Can you say "news dump?"

Up here in the Northeast, everyone is hunkering down for a huge snowstorm. In fact, much of the east coast is. We won't hear anything. Of course, the admin can't plan the weather, so they lucked out on this one. But I've grown too cynical after watching NOTHING ever come of ANYTHING charged against BushCo. Nothing. This is just the opening scene of ACT III of a massive stage show, leading up to the installation of Hillary.

11. Problem is, things are falling apart of the american people too
Just more repercussions of this administration and all of the bodies and broken lives that remain trampled over.

I find it hard to feel joy over that. I feel joy when he's finally removed from office and people can breathe a sigh of release.

13. NBC/MSNBC will do their best to squash it with Olympic coverage
*yawn*

Olympic rant:

I miss the old days when Olympics were fun to watch- no news anchors or biopics- just off-screen narative of the events as they happened, watching all contestants from all competing countires perform. Not pre-digested and packaged events highlighting the US and a few select opponents. BULLSHIT. My husband can't believe how shitty Olympic coverage is here in the US- he's from Japan.

Any other old farts out there remember the glory days of Olympic coverage?
